VID Core Business
VID has 23 depots nationwide i.e. Beitbridge, Belvedere, Birchenough Bridge, Bindura, Bulawayo, Chinhoyi, Chiredzi, Chirundu, Chitungwiza, Eastlea, Gwanda, Gweru, Hwange, Kadoma, Kwekwe, Marondera, Masvingo, Mutare, Nyamapanda, Plumtree, Rusape, Victoria Falls and Zvishavane.

Who can be a driver in Zimbabwe?
- Minimum age of 16years for class 4 and 18 years for class 2
- Minimum of 30 years for class 1
- Retesting of public service drivers, one must meet the requirements of statutory instrument 168 of 2006.
Vehicle Inspection:
Vehicle Inspection is conducted by to ensure roadworthiness, safety, and regulatory compliance a vehicle. It includes checks for private, commercial, and public service vehicles.
Types of Inspections
- Certificate of Fitness (COF): Required for commercial and public service vehicles. Valid for 6–12 months depending on vehicle type.
- Voluntary Inspection: Available for private vehicles to assess roadworthiness.
- Garage Inspection: For vehicles maintained or repaired at registered garages.
- Reinspection: Conducted if a vehicle fails the initial inspection.
