Plastic License
- The driver’s biometric data is captured after they pass a road test at the Vehicle Inspectorate department and is accessed at Central Vehicle Registry through integrated software for licence card production.
- The drivers licence card is printed and goes through quality control at the CENTRAL VEHICLE REGISTRY before dispatching to the holder with their relevant code(s) assigned.
- New National Driving Licence System was launched in June 2023, introducing 13 alphanumerical codes to replace the older 5 numerical classes. This change was formalized through Statutory Instrument 119 of 2023
