The department has two main functions; Disability and Rehabilitation Section and the State Service Disability Benefits. Currently the department is being headed by a Director. The Department utilizes the Department of Social Welfare structures at Provincial and District levels in rolling out its programmes.

Disability and Rehabilitation

The Department of Disability Affairs working with the National Disability Board, in turn, provides direct support to Disabled Persons Organizations (DPOs), Advocacy organisations and institutions that compliment Government in the provision of services with Disabilities.

State Service Disability Benefits

The aim of the programme is to provide compensation to all state employees in the event of death or injury arising out of and in the course of official duties.

We understand the importance of approaching each work integrally and believe in the power of simple.
